Local Activities and Places of Interest

Listed below are some ideas for the many activities available in and around Sheringham.

Our Favourite Walks
The Norfolk Coast Path runs the length of the North Norfolk coast from Cromer to Holme-next-to-the-sea where it joins up with the Peddars Way.

Some shorter walks local to the Sheringham area plus some of our favourite parts of the Norfolk Coast Path include:
The Sheringham Circular Walk
Beeston Bump and eastwards towards Cromer
Blakeney Marshes to coast (follow the Norfolk Coast Path east from Blakeney car park along the River Glaven out to the beach. Continue on to Cley or follow the beach west to Blakeney Point)
Blakeney to Morston (lovely walk along Norfolk Coast Path through the marshes. Start either from Blakeney car park or from Morston)
Burnham Ovary Staithe to Coast – take the Norfolk Coast Path east from Burnham Overy Staithe along the River Burn out to the beach. Return or continue on to Holkham.

Best panoramic views in Sheringham
Skelding Hill (on the coast path just west of Sheringham town – next to the golf course)
Beeston Bump (on the coast path just east of Sheringham town) – a 10 min walk from the cottage
The Gazebo (in Sheringham Park)
